Re: is penalty from 301 redirect from old penalized domain going to transfer?

Wondering if this is going to transfer over to my new domain? I had to forward the domain because I needed to keep my traffic on the new domain with bing and yahoo, but my rankings on google are all over the place. 2nd page one day, 7th page next. Could this have anything to do with me redirecting my OLD domain to the new fresh one? Does the penalty carry over after a certain amount of time? Thanks.

Just like most SEO, there is no "confirmed" answer. However, in the majority of the case studies on ***, the 301 domain redirect worked initially, skyrocketing the new domain to the top of serps. However, in almost every thread, the OP comes back to announce that the new site took a dive too.
